How to Delete Apps on an iPhone

There are so many apps available for the iPhone. Some of these apps seem useful and fun for a time, but after a while, you end up never using them, and they just take up space on your phone. If you need to get rid of some apps on your iPhone, the process is extremely simple.

Keep reading to learn the few steps to delete an app from your iPhone.

Deleting an App on iPhone

Deleting an app on an iPhone differs based on which iOS version you are using. You should have the latest iOS, but if you have an old phone that doesn’t support the latest software, we’ll walk you through the steps. However, it’s probably time to start looking into a new iPhone, and our iPhone deals guide is a great place to start your search.

iOS 14 or newer

Take these steps to delete an app on iOS 14 or newer from the home screen:

  1. Press and hold the icon of the app you want to delete.
  2. Wait for a pop-up menu to appear.
  3. Select Remove App.
  4. Press Delete App.
  5. Tap on Delete to confirm.

Speaking of Apps: Carrier Apps

If all this talk about apps has you craving some shrimp cocktail or bruschetta, you’re thinking about the wrong kind of apps. Instead, we’re talking about apps like My T-MobilemyAT&T, or My Verizon. Some smaller carriers, like Visible, even have their own apps. With these apps, you can pay your bill, change your plan, shop for a new phone, and more.

Check out some of these plans from popular carriers. Once you switch, be sure to download your new carrier’s app to gain access to those convenient features (and sometimes perks).
