$10 a month to surf the internet 39,000 feet in the sky? Not a bad deal at all.
Starting today, you can sign up for US Mobile’s Unlimited WiFi plan which includes unlimited WiFi on 20 leading airlines including Delta, American Airlines and Virgin America and access to over 30 million hotspots in more than 120 countries for a flat fee of $10/month.
The plan is good for 30 days and you don’t need a base cell phone plan (talk, text and/or data) with US Mobile to get this Unlimited WiFi offer. You can connect one device per plan.
“With more than 30 million hotspots in the US, customers can basically use our Wi-Fi plans everywhere; airports, trains, hotels, cafes, outdoors etc,” said US Mobile’s Founder & CEO, Ahmed Khattak. “Customers will also enjoy inflight connectivity on all the major airlines at a more affordable price than what the airlines and other comparative services are offering."
Sweet deal for travelers
For those that travel often, this is a pretty sweet deal at $10/mo for inflight access, especially considering that Gogo’s monthly airline plan (not including WiFi on the ground) is $49.95. Also, instead of paying for a costly international travel plan, you have access to a network of hotspots around the world!
What is a WiFi hotspot?
Hotspots are wireless access points, typically in public locations, where you can take your laptop, tablet or other mobile device to connect to the internet. On the hotspot WiFi connection, you can send emails, stream your favorite videos and browse the internet without using your cellular data.
However, it’s important to use caution, especially when considering mobile banking or shopping sites while using an unsecured public WiFi connection.
