More about U.S. Cellular

US Cellular is a postpaid and prepaid service provider that runs off CDMA technology. Though this technology is similar to the likes of Verizon and Sprint, US Cellular is not compatible with either. US Cellular has an array of cell phone service plans ranging from voice-only plans up to larger, high speed data plans. US cellular offers contract plans, no contract plans and even prepaid plans.

US Cellular offers 3G Coverage and 4G LTE coverage mainly in the Pacific Northwest, Midwest, and some areas in New England. All devices with US Cellular require a connection charge in addition to the plan cost. These connection charges vary to include installment pricing connection charge, basic phone connection charge, router w/ voice charge, hotspot connection charge and even vehicle monitoring connection charge.

US Cellular offers high speed internet plans without a phone and are great ways to stay connected on the go. Plans like individual line plans, home phone unlimited talk plans, and business plans can purchase additional data packages. US Cellular will not charge any overages since the carrier slows speeds for customers that have used their fixed monthly data amount. If you aren’t sure how much data you need, US Cellular provides an estimated data calculator that can help you choose which plan best fits your wireless needs.

Most unlocked devices from Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile are compatible with the 3G and 4G LTE frequency bands supported by US Cellular. For customers bringing their own devices, it is important to double check your devices compatibility to ensure you phone will work with US Cellular’s network.

US Cellular offers international plans via pay as you go. These plans include calling to over 200 countries for as low as 20 cents a minute with no monthly charge. For customers who call overseas on a regular basis, the international long distance add-on is a great incentive to stay in contact with your family and friends. With the international plan, customers can receive up to 70% discount from standard rates.
